Lickenbrock's 67 Paces Cougars
         WOOD RIVER, ILL. -- Southern Illinois University Edwardsville Kyle Lickenbrock golfer posted a five-under-par 67 Saturday in the opening round of the Cougar Classic at Belk Park Golf Club.
         Lickenbrock's best round as a Cougar gave SIUE a three-stroke lead as a team. SIUE stands at 286 after one round followed by Indianapolis with 289 and McKendree with 291. Lindenwood is fourth at 300.
         The tournament concludes with 18 holes on Sunday.
         Lickenbrock was one of four players to post an under-par round. He holds a three-stroke lead for the individual title. Zane Belden, of McKendree, shot a 70. Bergen Price, of Lindenwood, and Matt Thomas, of Missouri-St. Louis, fired one-under-par 71s. As many as 28 players were within seven strokes of the lead.
         SIUE has four players among the top 20. Kyle Gansauer is tied for fifth with a 72. Brian Kuddes is tied for 10th at 73. Ryan Coughlin is tied for 18th with a 74.
