May 15, 2008 Lovegreen Signs With SIUE Women's Golf          EDWARDSVILLE, Ill. - Courtney Lovegreen (Kirksville, Mo.) has signed a national letter of intent to join the Southern Illinois University Edwardsville women's golf program.          Lovegreen comes to SIUE at an important time in the school's history. SIUE is making the transition to NCAA Division I athletics.          "I think Courtney has an opportunity to come into our program and challenge for the No. 1 spot in the lineup," said SIUE coach Jennifer Jakel. "She has had an outstanding prep career, and I believe she can take her golf game to the next level as a college player."          Lovegreen was the top player at Kirksville High School this past year. She finished fifth at the state championships as an individual and helped her team take the runner-up spot in the team championship.          She advanced to the conference, district, and state championships in each of the last three seasons. Lovegreen also keeps a busy off-season golf schedule, having competing at the Gateway PGA, Optimist International, the Women's Western, and the Show Me State Games.          She also was a three-time letter winner in soccer at Kirksville.                   -siue cougars-
