Crawford Named GLVC Co-Player of the Week
Southern Illinois University Edwardsville’s Ann Crawford (St. Louis) has been named Great Lakes Valley Conference women’s soccer co-player of the week with Jayme Light of Northern Kentucky. The senior forward scored two goals to lead the Cougars to a come from behind 2-1 win over Southern Indiana on Sunday.
Crawford leads SIUE in goals with four and shots with 30. Crawford ranks second in the GLVC averaging 4.29 shots per game. She now has three career goals on nine shots against Southern Indiana in four games played.
SIUE is now 4-3 on the season and returns home to battle Indianapolis on Friday and Northern Kentucky on Sunday at Ralph Korte Stadium.
