Thomann, Fromme Lift SIUE Past McKendree
         Jackie Thomann and Kayla Fromme each had goals in Southern Illinois University Edwardsville's 2-0 victory over McKendree in non-conference women's soccer on Wednesday night.
         Thomann netted her first goal of the year at 34:29 to give SIUE the lead. Fromme would give the Cougars an insurance goal with 5:38 left in the second half for her first goal of the year.
         SIUE improved to 9-4 overall, while McKendree took their first loss on the season falling to 10-1-1. Since losing their first two games at home this season the Cougars have won four straight at Korte Stadium. During those four conests SIUE has outscored its opponents 12-0.
         Kim Roady and Jessica Brown combined for the Cougars eighth shuout of the year. Christina Stremlau picked up an assist in the game her third of the season.
         Mckendree was led by goalkeeper Natalie Jameson who made six saves in the loss as SIUE outshot the Bearcats 19-7.
         SIUE will be back in Great Lakes Valley Conference action this Sunday as they travel to play Lewis. Game time is 2:30 p.m.
