No. 14 Cougars Win Eighth Straight
         SPRINGFIELD, Mo. - Southern Illinois University Edwardsville women's soccer ran its winning streak to eight games Friday night with a 2-0 win at Drury.
         Amy Million (Granite City) scored a goal and added a assist to lead the Cougar offense. Million scored at 18:38 unassisted. She recorded the assist on Kristine Armstrong's (St. Peters, Mo.) team-leading seventh goal of the season at 22:35.
         SIUE improved its record to 10-2, assuring Coach Lynda Bowers of her third consecutive season of double-digit wins. The Cougars stand atop the Great Lakes Valley Conference with a 6-0 record.
         The Cougars pressed on defense, allowing just three shots. Kaci Backs (Greenville) recorded the shutout in goal for SIUE with two saves.
         SIUE returns to action Sunday with a noon contest at Rockhurst.
