SIUE Blanks UMSL 1-0
         EDWARDSVILLE, ILL. - With 13 corner kicks, something good was bound to eventually happen for the Southern Illinois University Edwardsville women's soccer team.
         Elizabeth Ball scored unassisted on a corner kick at 29:13 as SIUE blanked Missouri-St. Louis 1-0 at the Korte Stadium practice field.
         The Cougars improved to 14-4 overall and 10-2 in the Great Lakes Valley Conference. UMSL fell to 11-7 and 7-5 in the GLVC.
         SIUE also held the edge in shots at 13-7. Kim Roady picked up the victory in goal for SIUE, collecting two saves.
         SIUE's next action is Sunday at 2:30 p.m. against Missouri-Rolla for senior day.
