 | Arts & Issues Homecoming Concert Featuring Three Dog Night - October 8th In celebration of SIUE Homecoming 2011, the Arts & Issues Homecoming Concert featuring Three Dog Night took place on Saturday, October 8 in the Vadalabene Center gymnasium. Almost 800 people flashed back to the Mississippi River Festival and grooved to the music of these legendary music icons. |
 | SIUE Concert Chorale Alumni Reunion - October 8th In celebration in SIUE Homecoming 2011, the SIUE Concert Chorale Alumni hosted a reunion event on Saturday, October 8. As part of the event, they performed the National Anthem before the start of the SIUE men’s soccer game at Korte Stadium. |
 | 10th Annual Chili Cook-Off - October 8th In celebration of SIUE Homecoming 2011, the 10th Annual Chili Cook-Off took place on Saturday, October 8 at Korte Stadium before the start on the SIUE men’s soccer game vs. University of Evansville. Student organizations offered their best recipes for Best Tasting, Hottest and Most Unusual. The winners were announced at half-time of the game.

 | SIUE Bags Tournament - October 8th In celebration of SIUE Homecoming 2011, SIUE Athletics and Red Storm hosted a bags tournament before the start of the men’s soccer game on October 8. The winning team received their own SIUE bags sets! The event included free food from Red Storm and Student Government. |
 | SIUE Alumni Reunion Lunch '61, '71, '81, '91, '01 - October 8th In celebration of SIUE Homecoming 2011, the Alumni Association hosted a reunion lunch for the graduates from 1961, 1971, 1981, 1991 and 2001 on Saturday, October 8 in the Morris University Center. Attendees had the chance to share their memories of their time at SIUE and reconnect with former classmates. The event included step show performances from the Alpha Phi Alpha fraternity and Zeta Phi Beta sorority, welcome remarks from Chancellor Vaughn Vandegrift and a special address from SIUE Men’s Soccer Coach Kevin Kalish. |
 | SIUE Alumni Hall of Fame Dinner - October 7th The members of the 2011 SIUE Alumni Hall of Fame were inducted during a special event on Friday, October 7 in the Morris University Center. The honorees received their plaque and had the opportunity to speak to the crowd about their induction. |

The featured speaker was Hal Gentry, a 1981 graduate of the SIUE School of Engineering and the Founder/CEO of Gridlogix and Gentry Systems. The event was held on Saturday, May 21, 2011 at the Simmons Cooper Baseball Complex. |

Similar to speed dating, the event offered current SIUE students the chance to network with alumni volunteers from various career fields. Speednetworking is designed to help students practice introducing themselves and learn how to network in a business setting. |

 | STAT Nearly Naked Mile - February 17th STAT - Students Today, Alumni Tomorrow - hosted the Nearly Naked Mile on the SIUE Quad on February 17. Participants ran a one-mile fun run starting at 12pm. The event collected warm clothing donation items for the Glen Ed Pantry. |
 | SIUE Alumni Night with the Cougars - January 26th SIUE alumni, students and staff attended the SIUE Alumni Night with the Cougars to cheer for the women's and men's basketball teams when they took on Murray State. STAT hosted a School Spirit Contest and students competed for prizes in three contests - most guests, best dressed fan and loudest fan. Alumni watched the game from the AlumniZone seating section and voted for the spirit contest winners. STAT also hosted a pre-game pizza party for student and alumni participants of the STAT Alumni Mentor Program. |
 | SIUE Ski Trip 2011 - January 1st-8th SIUE students, alumni and staff headed to Winter Park, Colorado for the 2011 SIUE Ski Trip January 1-8. Attendees enjoyed four days on the slopes and a variety of events including an apres-ski happy hour at Doc's Roadhouse. Denver-area alumni also attended the happy hour. |
